The Old Settlers Association has created a grant application form for Columbia City charitable organizations and projects to utilize in making their requests to the Association next summer. Causes that will make a positive impact on the local community are eligible – specifically endeavors that support Arts & Culture, Civic Affairs, Community Development, Education, Health, Recreation and Welfare. Applications will also be available on the Whitley County Community Foundation’s web-site or by contacting one of the following members of the Old Settler’s Association: Don Armstrong, Kay Fleck, John Lefever, John Meier, Mike Redman or Bill Webber.


The Old Settlers Association awarded the following grants in the summer of 2013:YMCA $1,000; Whitley County Historical Museum $2,000; Passages,$2,500; Camp Whitley $1,000 and TROY School $2,000.
